PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Absentee Shawnee Tribe added an expansive new health center to address healthcare needs of tribal members and other Native Americans in the area. Alvine Engineering provided MEP systems design for this single-story 72,000-square-foot clinic. The building envelope and the heating/cooling system in this building were designed to provide overall maximum comfort, achieving a LEED NC Silver certification. In addition to MEP systems design, Alvine Engineering also served as the overall project LEED consultant. Future expansion of the 80-acre site may include assisted living and a senior center.

Program spaces include dental treatment area, radiology, pharmacy, general medicine, mental health, vision center, physical therapy, support, and engineering areas.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Master planning for future expansion of 80-acre site to include assisted living and a senior center.
  • Systems commissioned included nurse call, overhead paging, wireless, LAN, voice data, CATV, security, digital signage, AV systems, and IT equipment.
