PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Edmond is home to one of Oklahoma’s busiest and well-known public courses, KickingBird Golf Course. In 2020, prompted by the course’s growing membership and outdated facilities, the City began work on a $20 million upgrade project. The improvements included demolishing the original clubhouse and building a new clubhouse and event center that hosts all golf tournaments’ pre- and post-round functions. The facility has the capability of hosting many community events, such as business meetings, high school reunions, wedding receptions, and sports team banquets.

  • Designed a fire pump to provide fire protection to the clubhouse, events center, and swing studio.
  • Designed covered hitting bays that included radiant heat and high velocity, as well as low-speed (HVLS) fans for summer use.
  • Variable air volume heating and cooling system for thermal comfort and energy savings.
  • Modulating gas water heating system to provide reduced natural gas consumption.
  • Designed interior lighting systems comprised of LED luminaries for general illumination, accent lighting, emergency lighting, and illuminated exit signs.
