Kyle Weber P.E.

Kyle Weber

Even at an early age, Kyle had a mind for engineering. He gravitated toward Legos and his favorite classes in school were math and physics-focused. During high school, Kyle struggled to find a path that fits all of his interests but was lucky enough to have an advisor and a few teachers open the avenue of engineering up to him. Growing up, a lot of people in his family were tinkerers, fixers, and builders, so when he discovered an Architectural Engineering program close to his hometown, it felt right. It didn’t take long for Kyle to figure out that this was a field that fit the bill.

One of the most impactful projects in Kyle’s career was Salesforce Tower Chicago. The project came with unique challenges and allowed the team to put their best problem-solving practices to work. The project presented Kyle with the opportunity to learn more patience and communication skills, as sometimes you cannot foresee what challenges may arise, one being that the design of the project took place midst of a global pandemic. This project tested his abilities as an engineer and leader but was very rewarding when solutions were ultimately found.

Kyle is motivated by the passionate people he gets to work with every day. Surrounding himself with incredibly creative individuals makes him want to constantly strive to never settle. A close second would be the diversity in responsibilities that this job allows for. No two days are the same, therefore, he is always learning something new in an ever-evolving field. Codes, best practices, construction methods, and goals are always changing, so it keeps you on your toes. Engineers are fortunate enough to be right in the heart of the movement toward sustainability and carbon consciousness, and being a leader in the industry gives Kyle the ability and responsibility to make a positive impact on the future.
