PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Performing Arts and Athletic Center will include space for the music, drama, and digital media departments and will provide additional classroom space for Enid High School. The school, featuring one of the top music programs in the state, will benefit from upgraded facilities planned for the award-winning band, orchestra, and choir programs. The new facility will feature individual and ensemble practice rooms, department offices, and state-of-the-art equipment storage capabilities. A black box theater, scene shop, drama classrooms, dressing rooms, media control booths, and video editing bays will be added for the drama and digital media departments.

Several athletic programs will also call the facility home including basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and spirit squads. The arena will seat over 2,000 and provide two concessions spaces and a multi-purpose room overlooking the arena to serve a variety of functions.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• The arena duct utilizes fabric duct routed in a loop around the arena supplied by two rooftop units. This allows for variable control with the different occupancy levels likely to occur in the space.
• The lighting control system utilizes relays for control with override switches for special events and after-hours access.
• Hanging microphones and a solid-state recorder are provided for audio recording in the instrumental music rooms.
• A sound reinforcement system provides consistent coverage throughout the theater. Portable loudspeaker inputs will be installed at each corner of the room.
