United Way of the Midlands: The Power of You

United Way of the Midlands A Circle of SupportThis year’s theme for United Way of the Midlands’ campaign is “The Power of You.” We know it’s hard for just one person, one company, or one nonprofit to tackle poverty independently. That’s why, whether they are helping someone through everyday struggles or serving our community during recessions, natural disasters, or the current pandemic, United Way of the Midlands has been committed to bringing together community partners to serve the underserved in the Omaha and Council Bluffs Metro area for 97 years.

Alvine Engineering and IP Design Group have participated in an annual corporate giving campaign with United Way of the Midlands since 2015. We have hosted competitive and delicious chili cook-off competitions, Halloween-themed games of bingo, and a crowd favorite, the “Pie the Associate Principal” event to help raise funds to support our neighbors. This year, things will be a little different, but the need is greater than ever. We are eager get this year’s campaign started and to continue to support and give back to our wonderful community.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with United Way of the Midlands, we encourage you to read more about their “Circle of Support” program to better understand the group of over 100 nonprofits that United Way of the Midlands serves each and every year. These programs provide support in three different areas that are vital to helping families in need: Basic Needs, Education, and Financial Stability.

Our corporate campaign kicks-off on Monday, October 5th and goes through Friday, October 16th, so stay tuned for exciting updates! In the meantime, here are some easy ways that YOU can support the United Way of the Midlands:
