Alvine and Associates Announces Shareholders and Promotions

Alvine and Associates is excited to announce the promotions and leadership advancements of eight significant contributors to the success of the firm.

Alvine and Associates is honored to announce Steph Guy P.E., F.AEI, LEED AP, and Samuel Haberman P.E., LC, as shareholders of the firm. Both are alums of the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction.

Over the course of her career, Steph Guy P.E., F.AEI, LEED AP has exemplified leadership within the architectural engineering and construction (AEC) industry in the Omaha metro; serving on industry boards and volunteering her time in the community. Steph is a registered mechanical engineer and strives to develop the staff she interacts with daily. She is devoted to her clients and her internal working teams; designing systems that elevate the human experience.

Samuel Haberman P.E., LC has recently returned to his roots in Nebraska after growing and developing the Oklahoma City market for the firm. He is a registered electrical engineer with a broad depth of knowledge of building system design and construction. Sam’s energy is devoted to the successful implementation of technical engineering solutions for his clients while developing strong teams within the organization.

Alvine and Associates is also thrilled to announce additional promotions within the firm. Mary Wurst P.E. and Justin Olson P.E. have been promoted to the roles of associate principals, and Brandon Hana CPD, Ryan Tommey P.E., Tyler Manahan P.E., and Kyle Weber to project managers in our Omaha, Des Moines, and Oklahoma City offices. Each one has gone above and beyond, displaying leadership, teamwork, a commitment to client satisfaction, and project success. In their new roles, they will continue to be a valuable resource for innovative engineering solutions and team mentorship.

Mary Wurst P.E.

Mary Wurst was recently promoted to Associate Principal. Schools are a vital part of their communities, educating generations of students, which is why Mary has dedicated most of her 14-year career to designing K-12 education facilities. In her leadership role, she works to understand each client’s unique needs, and shapes the building systems to align with their goals to meet their present and future needs.

Justin Olson has been promoted to Associate Principal. With over 19 years of electrical engineering experience, Justin approaches his work with a strong emphasis on communication. As a leader in the Des Moines office and within the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, Justin appreciates the chance to make a positive impact on clients and co-workers, whether that’s through mentoring a young engineer or leading a team on a project.

He recognizes that every design decision has a long-term influence on energy usage and operating costs.
